Ingredients
Chai Scones:
24 tbsp cold unsalted butter, diced
1 cup cold heavy cream
4 large eggs (reserve one for egg wash)
4 cups all-purpose flour
½ cup granulated sugar
2 tbsp baking powder
2 tbsp chai spice blend
1 tsp kosher salt
Maple Chai Glaze:
2 heaping cups powdered sugar
4 tsp chai spice blend
2 tsp vanilla extract
6 tbsp heavy cream
2 tbsp maple syrup
Pinch of kosher salt
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F. Whisk dry ingredients. Cut in butter until crumbly.
Whisk 3 eggs with cream, stir into dry mix until just combined.
Turn dough onto floured surface, pat into 2 disks, 1” thick. Cut each into 8 wedges.
Brush with remaining beaten egg. Bake 18–22 mins until golden.
Whisk glaze ingredients and drizzle over cooled scones.
