Description

6 medium apples (Granny Smith or Fuji), sliced

¼ cup butter

⅓ cup brown sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

¼ tsp nutmeg

1 tsp vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Squeeze of lemon juice (optional)


Instructions

Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

 

Add apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Stir to coat.

 

Cook 10–15 mins, stirring occasionally, until tender and syrupy.

 

Stir in vanilla and a squeeze of lemon juice, if using. Serve warm
