Ingredients
For the sweet potato base:
4 cups mashed sweet potatoes (about 3–4 large)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Pinch of salt
For the pecan topping:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup melted butter
1 cup chopped pecans
Optional: pinch of cinnamon for extra warmth
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes, sugar, eggs, milk, butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Mix until smooth.
Spread the mixture evenly into the dish.
In a separate bowl, stir together brown sugar, flour, pecans, melted butter, and cinnamon (if using).
Sprinkle the topping evenly over the sweet potatoes.
Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the topping is golden and crispy.
